Having made a flying visit to Tasmania around the turn of the century, my wife and I decided to move here in 2003. My art had always been in the background, as a hobby and a form of relaxation, though. I have been fortunate to sell some works over the years.
With the closure of the Beaconsfield Gold Mine, resulting in the loss of my job of four and a half
years, I decided to give my artistic side a chance to develop further. Being self-taught, I find myself wanting to use different mediums (oil, pencil, ink, pastel and acrylic), to portray my artistic endeavours. I have found Tasmania to be a rich source of inspiration for my artwork with its beautiful and diverse scenery.
I hope that you have as much pleasure in viewing, and hopefully owning, my work as I have in creating them.
